Co-Location is the practice whereby businesses situate their own server(s) at our premises to take advantage of HostAway's high speed network backbone. There can be substantial savings in equipment and infrastructure costs for ventures which require high capacity/high reliability connectivity to the Internet. In general this is best suited for businesses which do not have their own purpose built data centres but require a high quality connection for a specific purpose such as the deployment of a publicly available database with a web enabled front end. Our standard pricing options are detailed below but we are able to tailor packages to your specific requirements for larger projects. Please contact us directly for further information. There are 3 hours of supervised physical access to your equipment provided per month during business hours and 1 hour physical access provided for scheduled after hours access. Additional access can be arranged and is charged at standard rates. Our data centre is located at Unit 1, 8 Midas Road Malaga, Western Australia - the complex is used by both Host Away and WA Data Pty Ltd - a sister company to Host Away which has been involved in OEM hardware sales since 1990. |

HostAway’s premises are security monitored 24/7 with thermal and intrusion detectors installed throughout the building. There are 3 layers of security gates and meshing protecting our server room. HostAway staff are generally onsite between 8am and 3am Monday through Saturday. |

Additional Traffic Allowance
Please Note: The transfer allowance for each hosting option operates in each direction, but not as a cumulative total. Eg: If you have a 2 GB limit, you can send 1800 MB to your site and receive 1800 MB from your site without paying any extra. If on the other hand your host receives only 100 MB but sends 3.6 GB you pay the excess above the 2 GB (ie. 1600 MB, which is 1600*1c = $16.00). If your host sends 3.6 GB and receives 4.7 GB you pay the excess for the higher amount only (ie. 2700*1c = $27.00 extra). For customers with a consistently high usage a data package is recommended - details of these packages are listed below. |

IP-KVM Hostaway now offers an Internet accessible (K)eyboard (V)ideo (M)ouse Service. Many customers with co-located servers have, at some point in time, required a console to be plugged into their machine for troubleshooting. In some cases, this may also require an on-site visit to make use of the console to fix any problems that can't be solved by a simple reboot. With Hostaway's IP-KVM service, you no longer need to come out to site to get a console on your server. Using a remote-client, you can connect to our KVM from your office or home over the internet and be presented with the functionality of a KVM. If you have multiple servers, the IP-KVM port can be connected to another multi-port non-network enabled KVM with hotkey channel selection capability. This 'add on' KVM can be purchased, leased, or provided by you. Special: until 30th of June, we will postpone the setup fee for you for a period of one month to allow you to trial this service. If you wish to keep going with the service, you can at this point pay the setup fee. If not, the IP-KVM service may be cancelled without attracting any further cost!
IP-Power Switch Hostaway now offers an Internet accessible Power Switch. On the odd occasion, you may be required to power-cycle (forcefully rebooting) your server if it stops responding. Hostaway's IP-Power Switch will allow you to do this from your web browser any time day or night. Special: until 30th of June, we will postpone the setup fee for you for a period of one month to allow you to trial this service. If you wish to keep going with the service, you can at this point pay the setup fee. If not, the IP-Power Switch service may be cancelled without attracting any further cost!
IP-KVM + IP-Power Switch Take full advantage of remote power and KVM and recieve a discount. Pricing as follows is for customers taking up both IP-KVM and IP-Power Switch services for the same co-location server.
Co-Location Data Packages For high traffic users we have a range of data packages available. This service is targeted for users who know they will have a continual and high data usage and need to be able to accurately predict their costs in advance and also be certain that their content will be delivered at acceptable speeds. This data allowance is a cumulative amount for inbound and outbound traffic, i.e. a 50GB package allows 25GB inbound and 25GB outbound traffic (or any combination of the two with a sum of 50GB). If you exceed the data allowance you will be charged for the excess data at the above 'per MB' rates, or you can upgrade to a higher data package - whichever is least expensive. Data packages are in addition to the standard Co-Location rates and are available in the following sizes:
